who we are
Pet Adoption Fund is the largest non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization in Southern California. We are staffed primarily by volunteers, and exist solely on donations. Our mission is to rescue, shelter, and find loving permanent homes for the many wonderful, yet previously abandoned, neglected or abused companion animals. On the average, our facility houses around 175 dogs and 75 cats, of all sizes, ages and breeds. Since our inception in 1983, we have cared for, rehabilitated, and found responsible and happy homes for the thousands of pets who have come through our doors.
our commitment
We at Pet Adoption Fund remain true to our belief that all animals deserve happiness, love and respect. We do not reject the old, the disabled, or the socially challenged. In accordance to our no-kill policy, Pet Adoption Fund will be committed to providing shelter and care to those deserving yet less fortunate ones, who may never get a second chance at a loving home, and end up living the rest of their lives here at our facility. Thank goodness to our supporters and our volunteers, those less fortunate ones will never have to worry about being homeless or lonely again.

Hooray For Our Long Timers!
We are delighted to see J.J. the Poodle go home after spending 6 long years at our kennel. J.J's life journey was not an easy one. Coming from life of abuse and neglect, he was battling many issues, limiting his chances to finding a new home. What J.J. did find at PAF was his guardian angel, a volunteer named Margie. Margie's compassion, dedication and hard work were the contributing factors to J.J's amazing transformation, ultimately leading to this happy ending. To J.J. we say..."have a wonderful life", and to his new guardian angel we say "thank you...thank you...thank you!"happy endings

medical needs dog

No one deserves the pain and the heartache Benny has been through. He was abandoned at least twice in his life, then was faced with diabetes. Unfortunately the diabetes cost him his vision, plus he has to rely on insulin to keep him alive for the rest of his life. Please consider helping Benny with his continuing medical care to keep him comfortable and pain free.

Medical Lifeline
More and more pets are being abandoned by owners, and every single one coming through our doors is in need of some type of medical care. Please consider donating to help us ease their pain, and save more lives.
